Artist's Comments
I am not submitting this as a photo piece but a performance piece. This is a performance of a Fluxus instructional piece by Mieko Shiomi entitled Smoke Poem.
"Each participant writes the name of a person he or she hates or has no sympathy towards on a cigarette and then smokes the cigarette." It is a very zen type idea to me so this is why I chose this one.
This was for class...we had to pick one of the thousands of Fluxus performance pieces and perform one and document it. I have a massive list of all the Fluxus performance pieces if anyone wants to see it and possibly perform some.
